  • Cenotes

    kin ha 02A Cenote is a sinkhole with exposed rocky edges containing groundwater, above or beneath ground. It is typically found in the Yucatán Peninsula and some on nearby Caribbean islands. The term derives from a word used by the low-land Yucatec Maya to mean any location with accessible groundwater.

  • Chacchoben - Bacalar

    chacchoben 01Visit the unique Mayan ruins of Chacchoben. Chacchoben is located in the south of the Yucatan Peninsula and is not yet known to tourists, such as Chichen Itza.  Chacchoben is 6 square kilometers in size but only a small part is open for the visitor, the rest is still been excavated and restored. Visit Fort San Felipe, the fort was built in 1723 to protect the village from pirates. Have a boat tour on the lagoon Bacalar,  a 49 mile long and 1,5-mile wide lagoon which is fed by many cenotes with freshwater, go swimming to refresh yourself.

Next visit Coba, once one of the most important cities with the highest pyramid in Yucatan, it was at its height between the 13th and 15th centuries and managed to survive about 70 years after the Spanish began occupying Mexico.

Until then, there were only a few small fishing villages like Playa del Carmen, which are now full-fledged cities. In order to give tourists an insight into the everyday life of Mexicans, I organized a day trip that leads out of the Riviera Maya and shows both the life of the Maya in the jungle and everyday life in a small Mexican town without tourism. There are no other tourist groups going to the place we visit on this tour. If you want to get to know the country and its people, this is the right excursion for you.

Go on a boat trip at sunrise to see the Flamingos and all the other amazing birds nesting in the mangroves at Rio Lagartos, see crocodiles and the Salinas, where even the ancient Mayans harvested their salt. Visit the old colonial city of Valladolid to go swimming in the beautiful Cenote Zaci and have a Mexican lunch at a local restaurant. 

  • Tulum - Coba - Cenote - Maya Family

Visit the mystical Mayan Ruin City of Coba, only 40 miles west of the Riviera Maya and approx. 115 miles southwest of Cancun, once the biggest and most important city in Yucatan, climb the Pyramid Nohoch Mul and enjoy the fantastic view over the jungle.  Go swimming and/or snorkeling at beautiful Grand Cenote or you can go instead to visit a Mayan family in the jungel!.

  • Valladolid - Coba - Grand Cenote

You’ll visit Maya ruins almost untouched by tourism, like Dzibanche, Kohunlich (the valley of the masks), and also one of Mexico's magic cities, Bacalar. In Bacalar, you will visit the old Fort San Felipe and go on a boat trip on Bacalar lagoon (the lagoon of 7 colors)
