Visit Uxuxubi a real Mayan Village, 10 miles deep in the jungle, west of Akumal in the middle of the Riviera Maya, near Cancun and Playa del Carmen. Learn how the Mayans are living in the jungle, the same way their ancestors lived there for hundreds of years. Have a walk through the Village to the Big Lagoon, where crocodiles are living and even seabirds are nesting in the middle of the jungle. Climb up a 30-foot high wooden tower to see how the Mayan village is wide-spreading over the jungle. If you like the adventure, you can have a zip line ride over the Big Lagoon.

Have a real adventure at Rancho Santa Cruz, close to Akumal in the middle of the Riviera Maya, near Cancun and Playa del Carmen. where you’ll have a short jungle walk of 15 minutes, with some explanations about the flora of the jungle, to the cave entrance. Wearing your bathing suit you'll descend 10 feet into the Underworld of the Mayan Gods, a cave system. With a hard hat on your head and a waterproof flashlight in your hand, you begin an underground trek. Halfway through your journey into the infra-world under the jungle, you enter an underground swimming area where you can have a swim or swing from a Tarzan rope! Swimming and walking you continue your adventurous 45-minute walk, through tunnels and underground rivers up to your belly to exit the infra-world into a large depression.
Go snorkeling in the lagoon of Yalkoo, a former natural Mayan harbor at the town of Akumal in the middle of the Riviera Maya, near Cancun and Playa del Carmen. The lagoon is a caved-in cave system, full of fish. You snorkel through canyons while observing different types of fish, like sergeant major, parrotfish, neon fish, angelfish, and the occasional barracuda or turtle. I will guide you for 1-hour through the lagoon before you leave for the restaurant.
After snorkeling, you can take a shower at the facilities before going for lunch at a beach restaurant close to the lagoon, with a beautiful view of the Caribbean sea. You can choose between a typical Mexican lunch like fish or chicken tacos, fish filet with the fresh catch of the day, pasta, or vegetarian lunch. After lunch, you’ll drive back to the hotel.
